Department “Systems of Automated Design”, TSTU

Key words and phrases: chromium plating; galvanic covering; distribution of covering thickness; nonmonotonic curve of cathodic polarization.
Abstract:The method of calculation of covering thickness distribution on the cathode for electrolytes with non-monotonous polarization curve on the example of chromium plating electrolyte is presented. The method is based on narrowing down the problem of calculation of covering thickness distribution on the cathode to one-criterion task of optimization. The criterion of optimization is the difference between numerical values of current density on the cathode; it is obtained under the Ohm’s law in the differential form and by the equation of cathode polarization curve correspondingly. The given criterion is also used as the selection criterion of non-monotonous polarization curve bough. The suggested method is universal and it should be used both with non-monotonous and monotonous cathode polarization curve. The advantage of the given method is that optimum result within the error limits of the array method is obtained.

Modification of Syllable Formation Schemes in Dialects of English
Department of English Philology, TSU after G.R. Derzhavin

Key words and phrases: the English language variants; dialectology; cognitive linguistics; phonology.
Abstract: Conceptual nature of phonological units resides in the schematic principle of their organization. Syllable schemas, which determine syllable structures in a linguistic system of a dialect, show various degrees of salience and entrenchment. Syllable schemas in English dialects have different degree of entrenchment in terms of filled-onset requirement, the ‘r’-insertion schema being the most variable. The article argues the ‘r’-insertion schema emerged from the shared-consonant schema. Once a separate schema, it governs new phonological contexts in ‘r’-less dialects of English.

Methodology of Research into Lexis on the Basis of Micro-Fields Modeling
Department of Linguistics, TSU after G.R. Derzhavin

Key words and phrases: denotative status; lexical semasiological analysis; methodology; micro-field; popular Orthodoxy; semantic field; denotation status; formal structural description; Christian lexis.
Abstract: The paper presents the analysis of lexis on the basis of the theory of lexico-semantic micro-fields. The study focuses on a wide collection of Christian lexis in the Russian language representing popular Orthodoxy in literary Russian and its dialects. The reflection of religious continuum of the Russian language with its motives, situations and events has always been of interest with the general public but hasn’t been studied linguistically. Russian philology has traditionally been oriented to old and archaic forms of the Old Slavonic language bun not colloquial lexis of popular Orthodoxy. This material presentation itself is a big problem which is difficult to solve. The need for studying semantic fields of Christian lexis within the selected ethno-linguistic approach is well-grounded.
